In order to improve service accessibility and increase the propensity for young people to seek help, COORDINARE - South Eastern NSW PHN is seeking a Lead Agency to manage a headspace centre and associated services in Nowra.

The aim is to ensure that young people receive accessible, appropriate and effective services within a sustainable service system.

headspace centres act as a one-stop shop for young people with mental health and wellbeing concerns, providing access to youth-friendly health professionals in a safe, confidential and youth-friendly environment. Centres also take a proactive role in engaging family members and carers as well as promoting awareness and understanding of youth mental health issues more broadly through their local communities.

Centres are designed with local young people to ensure they are relevant, accessible, and effective. As a result, no two headspace centres are the same, with each offering services tailored to local needs and resources.

This request for proposal (RFP) has been developed by COORDINARE - South Eastern NSW PHN. Funding is provided through the PHN to the Lead Agency, but in order to operate the local headspace service, the Lead Agency enters into a licensing agreement with headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation.
