Support for LGBTIQ+ people

South Eastern NSW is home to many diverse communities, including people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and questioning, plus other non-heterosexual and gender fluid identities (LGBTIQ+, sometimes written as LGBTI or LGBTIQA+ to include asexual people). While data is not consistently captured for this group, it is estimated that up to 11 in 100 Australians have a diverse sexual orientation, gender identity, and / or sex variation [1].

The tiles below have information about services available to support LGBTIQ+ people, their families, friends, and allies.

QLife is a national peer support service for the LGBTIQ+ community. Call 1800 184 527 or log on to webchat every day from 3pm to midnight.
