Multicultural videos and resources

22 July 2020

Are you a GP? Do you speak a second language?

Illawara Shoalhaven Local Health Distrist (ISLHD) Multicultural Health Service is creating videos in languages other than English to encourage culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities to get tested for COVID-19.

For example, Biljana from Multicultural Health Service was featured in this video for the Macedonian community.

We’ll provide the script for the video to be used on Facebook and the filming will take up to 30 minutes of your time.

Languages we’re looking for are: Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Hindi, Macedonian, Italian, Greek, Serbian, Croatian, Vietnamese, Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese, Portuguese, Swahili, Burmese, Karen, Kirundi, French, Tigrinya, Spanish, Bengali, Urdu. All other languages are welcome!

To learn more, please contact Smriti Jaiswal via Smriti.Jaiswal@health.nsw.gov.au or (02) 4221 6892.

COVID-19 fact sheets and brochures have been developed in multiple languages and are accessible on the NSW Health website.
