Hearing loss affects nearly 15% of the Australian population, with evidence showing those affected by hearing loss are more likely to experience depression, social isolation, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and dementia.
Despite this - hearing loss is often overlooked, both by patients and health professionals.
Dr Tamhane, Wollongong ENT Specialist will be hosting a practical education initiative “Audiology for GPs’’ in Wollongong and would be delighted if you were able to join him and a small group of your local colleagues.

Agenda:
- Interpreting audiograms
- Identifying and managing patients with otitis media
- Evaluating what action GPs can take with hearing loss
- Review types of hearing solutions and funding options available.
Accreditation: GPs can self-report their participation at the RACGP website to receive CPD points.
