ACT and Southern NSW HealthPathways: New education module launched

The accredited online learning module provides GPs and GP Registrars with an introduction to ACT and Southern NSW HealthPathways and practical advice on how to implement them into everyday practice.

A new education module for GPs has just been launched. The accredited online learning module provides GPs and GP Registrars with an introduction to HealthPathways and practical advice on how to implement them into everyday practice.

The module has been developed by HeathPathways ACT & Southern NSW in collaboration with Capital Health Network PHN and Coast City Country General Practice Training.

HealthPathways is an online health information portal designed to be used primarily by general practitioners and health care teams at the point of care to guide best practice assessment and management of medical conditions, including when and where to refer patients to local specialists and services.

At the conclusion of the training GPs will:

  • Understand the origins of HealthPathways
  • Be able to describe the role of GPs and specialists in the development ofHealthPathways
  • Know the benefit of HealthPathways for patients, GPs, GP registrars and the health system
  • Know when and how to access HealthPathways.

CPD Information: The activity is accredited by RACGP and ACRRM.  Completion of the module will provide RACGP Cat 2 QI&CPD points and pro-rata ACCRM points.

Audience: The education is suitable GPs and GP registrars for ACT and Southern NSW region.
