The Australian Immunisation Handbook MMR vaccine recommendations for babies have changed. Since December 2018, there have been 36 infectious cases of measles in NSW. A new training requirement has been introduced for prescribers of the yellow fever vaccine. Medical practitioners and nurse practitioners who intend to prescribe the vaccine at their practice (those practices approved as Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres) will now be required to complete an online learning course to obtain accreditation.
