Preparing pharmacists to work in general practice
In the 2018-19 Federal Budget, the Australian Government announced changes to streamline the General Practice Rural Incentives Program (GPRIP) and the Practice Nurse Incentive Program (PNIP). The changes will be rolled into a single Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) as part of the Stronger Rural Health Strategy.
Medicare items for eating disorders
Commencing 1st November 2019, 64 new Medicare items will be introduced to support evidence-based care for eligible patients living with an eating disorder. The Australian Government Department of Health has released the details of each of the new items on the MBS Online website.

PA2health: residents in drought-affected areas to receive FREE 4-week wellbeing challenges
COORDINARE has provided grant funding to run PA2health, a 4-week digital mental and physical wellbeing health challenge for residents in drought-affected areas in South Eastern NSW. The challenge is delivered through Facebook Messenger and incorporates psychology, mindfulness, stress and sleep management, exercise routines, and recipes with shopping lists.

New My Health Record resources for practice managers
Since February 2019, My Health Record has expanded to every 9 out of 10 Australians having access to their own online health records. My Health Record can contain information such as Share Health Summaries, Hospital Discharge Summaries, Prescription and Dispense information, as well as Pathology and Diagnostic Reports.
