COORDINARE is currently in the process of developing a Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Strategy.

COORDINARE is currently in the process of developing a Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Strategy to set out the actions we will undertake with our partners at a general practice level, at a community level (i.e. commissioned solutions) and at a system level, to address the agreed priorities.

As part of this work, COORDINARE will develop a person-centred stepped care model. The model will involve a range of primary mental health options for people who have no impact on their quality of life to those who have significant impact on their quality of life. It will have a range of service types fitting into each ‘step’, making the best use of available workforce and technology, and reflecting the needs of the South Eastern NSW region as per local population need from the needs assessment and analysis. In addition, we will be undertaking consultation and co-design to develop a robust stepped care model.

Three co-design workshops for mental health and suicide prevention will be held in September. This will be an great opportunity for you, as a consumer, carer or service provider, to contribute to our understanding of local health needs and priorities, and co-design solutions which will contribute to our Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Strategy.
