Justine, a 25-year-old Ngunnawal woman from headspace Queanbeyan, has been awarded Trainee of the Year at the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional NAIDOC Awards.

Justine, a 25-year-old Ngunnawal woman from headspace Queanbeyan, has been awarded Trainee of the Year at the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional NAIDOC Awards.

After joining Marathon Health in 2018, Justine became a trainee and all-rounder at headspace Queanbeyan, while also completing her Certificate III in Community Services. 

Through her strong leadership and passion, Justine has helped headspace Queanbeyan to work with Aboriginal clients in culturally appropriate ways. She has implemented new programs such as a young women's Yarning Circle, and is striving to create safe spaces for young Aboriginal women to access headspace Queanbeyan services.
