Practices across the Shoalhaven region are asked to encourage women to book a free breast screen while the mobile clinic is visiting:

• Berry: 20 Feb - 3 March, Berry Showground.
• Huskisson: 6-24 March, Husky Sports.
• Sussex Inlet: 27 March - 6 April, Sussex Inlet Bowling Club
• Nowra: 11 - 14 April, Waminda.
• Matraville: 17 - 28 April, Club Matto.

A 20-minute breast screen every two years could save a patient’s life. BreastScreen NSW actively targets asymptomatic women aged 50 to 74 years for a free screening mammogram every 2 years. Women over the age of 40 are also eligible to attend the service as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are  from age 40.

Your patients are more likely to have a breast screen if recommended by a GP, as such it is important to encourage your patients to get screened locally whilst the mobile screen clinic is available in town.
