Purpose of the review
The Australian Government is reforming the Drug and Alcohol Program, which currently funds COORDINARE’s commissioned Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) services across South Eastern NSW. The future program will be organised around four pillars:
This creates an opportunity for COORDINARE to review commissioned AOD services and consider how best to respond to the new Drug and Alcohol program, while ensuring services continue to reflect local needs.
How are we approaching the review?
We are building on existing evidence and consultation findings wherever possible. This approach will help us make best use of what people and organisations have already told us and focus any new engagement on areas where further information is needed.
As the review progresses, COORDINARE will undertake targeted engagement to explore particular issues, experiences or evidence gaps.
The review will take place from September 2026 and any changes to commissioned services as a result of the review will be communicated from early 2027.
