Purpose for this role

As part of the Finance and Risk team, the Finance Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, visa card coding, and other related financial tasks, including payroll as required.

This role supports the smooth operation of the finance team and contributes to strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights and supporting effective financial planning.

To be successful as a Finance Officer at COORDINARE, the following skills and experience are required:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable: proven ability to accurately process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner,
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll: proven ability to accurately process payroll,
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills: ability to manage multiple financial tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines,
  • Proficiency with financial systems and software: experience using accounting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel,
  • Effective communication and teamwork: ability to collaborate within the finance team and across the organisation, providing clear and professional support to colleagues,
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: capacity to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and contribute to data-driven decision-making and financial planning.
Role details
  • Working hours: part time at 3.5 days per week (0.7 FTE)
  • Location: Wollongong
  • Position: 12 months fixed term contract
  • Remuneration: Band 2/Step 1 ($88,786 pro-rata for part time)
  • Note: this is a backfill role for an existing employee on secondment
