Development of the New Regional Plan for South Eastern NSW
Co-design and consultation process
This page includes information about:
Background
COORDINARE - South Eastern NSW Primary Health Network (SENSW PHN), Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD), and Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) is developing a new Regional Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Plan to guide the planning, design, commissioning and delivery of services and supports across South Eastern NSW.
A regional plan is a shared agreement that sets out how mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and drug services, and other supports should be organised across a region. It looks at what the community needs, what services already exist, where the gaps are, and how different organisations can work together more effectively.
The regional plan is used to:
-
Identify priorities for improving health and wellbeing.
-
Improve coordination between hospitals, community services, GPs, and support organisations.
-
Ensure services are accessible, culturally safe, and designed around local needs.
A regional plan helps us to decide what to focus on, how to invest resources and how to build a more effective and coordinated healthcare system in South Eastern NSW.

Have your say - Survey
As a part of the consultation process, we have opened a survey to provide an opportunity for community members, people with lived experience and carers to share their views, experiences, and priorities.
Your feedback will help shape the direction, focus areas, and actions of the new regional plan, ensuring it reflects local needs and supports a more integrated, accessible, and responsive system of care.
The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential and will be used to inform planning at a regional level.
The survey closes 11:59pm 15 March 2025. Complete the survey here.
