Mark Thompson
Mark is a peer worker and peer trainer who has worked across a range of services throughout South Eastern NSW. Mark’s approach to any task is always grounded in mutuality and co-learning.
Mark found the opportunity to be involved in Peers At The Table a privilege and a chance to share knowledge and learning, just as those who he has worked and recovered alongside have generously shared with him.
Mark believes when we look at things from a relational perspective we not only have the opportunity to support others but to find new ways of seeing, thinking and doing for ourselves. It is an inescapable fact that what peers do, and the way peers do it, changes lives for the better. This is the power of lived and living expertise.
