Peer Academy Mentor

Expression of interest form

This expression of interest form is an opportunity for us to learn more about you, what skills you can bring to the Peer Academy and how we can make your experience as inclusive and comfortable as possible.

We view this as a connecting step and all responses will receive a response from program staff.

Sharing our stories can be empowering and cathartic, but it can also bring up difficult emotions from time to time, so it is really important that it is the right time in your journey to be involved. With this in mind, we will be asking some questions about your current supports and wellbeing strategies. If reflecting brings up any difficult emotions, we encourage you to pause and access support from your support network, or see options to connect with a support service here one of our commissioned services.

Accessibility and support

We are committed to making this process as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you need information in a different format, require assistance to complete forms, or would like to discuss any accessibility requirements, please contact us. We welcome conversations about the supports that may help you participate. Email zhinge@coordinare.org.au

Section 2: Peer Academy Mentor

Please share with us a bit about your Peer Work experience.

Please include:

  • - how many years you have been working as a Peer Worker

  • - any training you have completed not limited to the certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work and Intentional Peer Support Training.

Are you able to commit to the time requirements of this role?

The Peer Mentor role requires approximately 5 hours per fortnight from January - April 2027, plus additional time to prepare for and facilitate one lunch and learn session during the program.

Do you have any accessibility or wellbeing requirements that we should be aware of to make your experience more inclusive and comfortable?

Please let us know about any accessibility, wellbeing, cultural, communication, learning, or other support needs you would like us to consider. You only need to share what you feel comfortable sharing.

We expect strong interest in the Peer Academy and may not be able to offer a mentoring role to everyone who applies. Our first pilot program will commence in January 2027, with additional opportunities planned in the future.
