The 'myhealth' app has renamed to 1800MEDICARE

21 January 2026

From 1 January 2026 the myhealth’ app rebranded to ‘1800MEDICARE. This update is part of a broader initiative to improve mobile access to health services and information for all Australians.

The app remains a trusted way for consumers to access their key health information, seek advice and connect with care, all from the palm of their hand.

Moving forward, it will become even more helpful with proposed new features like:

  • Reminders for preventative screenings.
  • Notifications for test and scan reports.
  • Easier privacy management that syncs directly with My Health Record.
  • A free, nationwide health advice line and after-hours GP telehealth support, available 24/7.

Through new links, the 1800MEDICARE app now provides information about managing your MyMedicare registration, and a summary of your Medicare claims. There’s also links to information on enrolling in Medicare and how to make claims.

To access, simply select the ‘Health Profile option at the bottom of the page then ‘Medicare Services'.

To ensure continued access to important updates and new features, turn on notifications from your device’s app settings and enable automatic updates in your app store settings. If the app doesn’t update automatically, go to your phone’s App store, search ‘1800MEDICARE’ and select ‘Update.
