Seeking Expressions of Interest from General Practitioners to join COORDINARE’s Board and Chair the Illawarra Shoalhaven Clinical Council

COORDINARE is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from general practitioners who wish to be considered for appointment as Chair of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Clinical Council, which also has a seat on the Board of Directors.

COORDINARE is the Primary Health Network (PHN) for South Eastern NSW. We work with government, non-profit, healthcare providers, service partners and communities to coordinate local health services and support those at risk of poor health outcomes.

Role of COORDINARE’s Clinical Councils
The role of the COORDINARE's Clinical Councils is to provide expert and strategic advice to COORDINARE's Board on a range of clinical issues across South Eastern NSW, relating to improving health care accessibility and outcomes for communities in our region.
COORDINARE's Clinical Councils provide strategic advice and guidance to COORDINARE's Board on matters such as:
- the integration of COORDINARE initiatives/programs across the broader health care system;
- development, implementation and monitoring of specific COORDINARE priorities, programs and projects, including their reach within general practice and the broader health care system;
- locally relevant key and emerging clinical issues relating to general practice in South Eastern NSW and recommend innovative initiative/solutions to COORIDNARE.
- Appointment is for a three-year term and the position is remunerated.

Expressions of Interest will close 10 February 2026 and a decision will be communicated shortly thereafter. It is anticipated that the appointment of this role will be finalised in preparation for the April 2025 Board meeting.
