    Practices in Yass are asked to encourage women to book a free breast screen while the mobile clinic is situated at the Yass Showground from 16 January – 24 February. A 20-minute breast screen every two years could save your patient’s life.

  • National Cervical Cancer Awareness week 2021 – It’s time to catch up

    November 8-14 is National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week.  The theme of the week will build on last year’s message and encourage women aged 25-74 that it is “time to catch up”.

  • Breast Screen NSW services update

    15 October 2021

    BreastScreen NSW has advised that screening services are being resumed in some areas.  

    Services have recommenced at its clinics in Queanbeyan, Moruya and Bega. Mobile clinics will be visiting Crookwell (until 22 October), Goulburn (25 October – 17 December) and Braidwood (29 November – 10 December).

    This month is national bowel cancer awareness month which draws attention to the valuable role general practice plays in promoting bowel cancer screening. It also highlights the role general practice plays in encouraging patients to take that final step and have the test.
