First Nations Mental Health Services - Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service
First Nations Mental Health Services provides culturally safe mental health and social and emotional wellbeing support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
The service offers support for people experiencing emotional distress, mental health concerns or challenges impacting their wellbeing. Services are tailored to individual needs and support recovery, resilience and connection to community.
Delivered by qualified mental health professionals and Aboriginal Health Practitioners in a culturally safe environment. Support may include counselling, psychological therapies, care coordination and connection to other services as needed.

Care Finder is a free service that can help vulnerable older people in South Eastern NSW who need extra, intensive support to access aged care services and other supports in the community.
Gateway Life Chronic Disease Prevention Program
Gateway Life are offering free access to an 8-week gym-based program combining exercise and education for people aged 45 and over who are at risk of developing chronic conditions. Participants will attend weekly group sessions, alternating between physical activity and education.

In partnership with COORDINARE, Healthy Cities Australia have expanded their successful health promotion initiatives community walking groups and Cook Chill Chat. The expansion increases access to the programs across the Illawarra Shoalhaven and will see the programs delivered in Southern NSW (Queanbeyan and Goulburn) for the first time.
