Southern NSW Specialist Palliative Care Services

There are Specialist Palliative Care Services based in Bega, Eurobodalla, Cooma, Queanbeyan and Goulburn. They provide outreach services to all communities and Residential Aged Care Facilities in the Local Health District.

Referrals to the specialist palliative care service are made via central intake.

South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation (SCMSAC) delivers the 'Strong Foundations' school-based mental health literacy and help-seeking program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in years 3–6. Social and emotional wellbeing service for family members requiring additional support.

Strong Yawa provides an after hours support line for Aboriginal women and children, delivered by Waminda. Available after 5pm, all calls are confidential and will be treated with respect.

The St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney (SVHS) Chronic Pain Service provides an Outreach Chronic Pain Management Education and Service for the Southern NSW catchment area.

Suicide Call Back Service offers free professional 24/7 telephone counselling support to people at risk of suicide, concerned about someone at risk, bereaved by suicide and people experiencing emotional or mental health issues.

The Disability Trust - Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program

Free non-clinical support for people 16 years and over with a severe and complex mental health condition. Also provides support to apply for NDIS if primarily 'Psychosocial Disability' and Service Navigation. Available via telehealth and across multiple locations.
